To Accomplish List

Warning : The list is the mere tip of the ice berg. It is not in chronological order and subject to changes due to a variety of factors ie your suggestions, my improvements, and obviously …getting them done !!! :) :) :) Woo hoo, can’t wait to cross them off one by one!

Thank you Alexandra Julia Markovetz :)

Because I’m worth the initiative

Personal

  1. Making someone’s day significantly brighter – this needs to be a whole blog of To-Do Tasks by itself !
  2. Stay silent for 30 hours – Inspired by Micah Baldwin
  3. Give away the scores of coupons and discount codes I’ve been hoarding to people who need them ( before the expiration date of course )
  4. Volunteer for the Rocky Mountain Rescue group.
  5. Finish current booklist…
  6. Sing in front of a crowd. * gulps..*
  7. Take up a different musical instrument / Relearn one ( am very very rusty at both the djembe and the piano ) Jesse Manno!!!
  8. Take a structured Mandarin learning program. Even if it’s not exactly my native tongue, I’m quite tired of people asking me if it is and mixing it up with the other Chinese dialects I know.
  9. Learn how to play poi. I’m dead scared of lighting a match because I’m dead scared of getting burnt. Can you imagine me playing with fire? I’ll get there. Just you wait.

Because Opportunity won’t wait

Career

  1. Leave a lasting legacy project at Beyond Credentials.
  2. Go to a networking event  to promote the awesome services we provide (and my incredibly cool boss) at least once a week for the rest of my internship term. Bear in mind that while I may have a gregarious personality, I also hate going to networking events alone, especially about fields that I know very little about. Gotta work on this:
  3. Read ( and finish ) 4 more books on marketing strategies.
  4. Get another mentor. Erika Randall, my current mentor at CU has taught me so much; I’m truly convinced the best way to learn about life is from another person’s mistakes and successes.

Because Everyone Can Make Time for Some Dance :)

Dance

  1. Choreograph a solo for myself..and perform it in public.
  2. Learn how to put together a dance for camera piece
  3. Enroll in a Broadway musical theatre class!
  4. Go swing dancing in New York!
  5. Get a dedicated swing dance partner to practice with.
  6. Perform in a swing dance competition DONE
  7. Try entering another Jack and Jill swing dance competition. ( This one literally gives me the shudders….) DONE
  8. Attend at least 1 more swing dance event outside of the Boulder/Denver area ( this is due to financial circumstances!!! )

Because when in Rome, learn why the Romans roam that way :)

Tech

  1. Master the basics of the essential programming skills – Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
  2. Get 80% better at WordPress. Like not having to rely on DIYThemes or Youtube every time I log into my admin…
  3. Take advantage of Boulder’s amazing tech scene and learn as much as possible about social media marketing strategies, blogging techniques, design skills, etc.                                                                                                                *This is an example of a weak accomplish list but will soon be rectified! *

Because what do I have to lose anyway?

Travel

  • Visit the famous Colorado Sand Dunes and at least one other county in Colorado
  • Visit Aspen, Breckenridge, and Vail. Actually any mountain would do,  I’ve been in Boulder for 2 years and I’ve yet to go up there…

Because Self Initiative builds Integrity

Domestic

  • Learn how to make sushi from a professional ( self taught lessons and observations just don’t cut it sometimes…)
  • Make an Indian curry
  • Make a type of herbal ice cream as inspired by Cathy Erway
  • Learn how to put together a time period specific costume from scratch.
  • Take care of a plant. ( I usually go with flowers but I’ve decided that I really should try to at least attempt to take care of a green little thing )

Because Initiative is Investment

Health

  1. Do the Boulder 360 bike ride loop alone.
  2. Get the hang (and fun) of wakeboarding
  3. Go hang gliding
  4. Go skydiving
  5. Go rock climbing outdoors
  6. Go bouldering outdoors
  7. Be able to hold a handstand for at least 15 sec
  8. Hike solo
  9. Hike a 14er
  10. Try aero yoga
  11. Complete a 30 day cleanse program successfully. – I’ve always really wanted to do one of these and am on one right now actually.
  12. Go skiing.
  13. Go snowboarding.
  14. Ride a hot air balloon.

Comments

Wow, look at you! That is quite a cool list! I can certainly tell your gregarious personality through these planned initiatives. Good luck!

“Sing in front of a crowd. * gulps..* ”

I have this one too. I’m very musical but have always been scared of signing a solo. I set the benchmark at 500+ people.

I’ve been practising!!!!! Everyday I try to sing in front of someone. I have yet to brave myself to go karaoke because I really have a terrible voice but that will happen!!!
