A dear friend I bumped into today at 8 in the morning left me this little Sunday gem 
We were both pretty sleep deprived for different reasons but somehow I think we forgot our tiredness and got our teas, sat down, and proceeded to a wonderfully enlightening conversation.
It came at a very timely moment; I’m suffering a splicing of mind and heart and somehow I’m dancing around everything that I should be working on, dodging potential heartache and conflict simply for the sake of it I think sometimes. I’m having one of those days where everything I’m thinking about seems to exist in another part of the world and I’ve to travel oh so far to go find it.
Here’s my Monday gem and inspiration. It’s written by Rumi; if you pause very carefully between the spaces in the words, you’ll hear a mindful echo underneath, the driving force of this poem.
To Enjoy This Conversation
I must tell you something now or mislead you. And I wouldrather die than mislead you on this Path that is so beautifuland so hard. A false step can mean death or madness or futility orthe destruction of years of hard-won attainment.What I want to tell you is that all of these words I speak, outof love and inspiration and whatever knowledge God has gracedme with, are for the sake of the person who needs words in orderto understand. As for the person who understands without words,obviously he or she doesn’t need words at all.In fact, to the onewho really understands, the heavens and the earth themselves are“words”; after all; they came into being through “words” – theDivine Words “Be! And it is.” If someone can hear a low, subtleWhisper, is there any need to shout and scream?Make everything in you an ear, each atom or your being, andyou will hear at every moment what the Source is whispering toyou, just to you and for you, without any need for my words oranyone else’s.You are-we all are-the beloved of the Beloved,and in every moment, in every event of your life, the Beloved iswhispering to you exactly what you need to hear and know. Whocan ever explain this miracle? It simply is.Listen and you will discoverit every passing moment.Listen, and your whole life willbecome a conversation in thought and act between you and Him,directly, wordlessly, now and always.It was to enjoy this conversation that you and I were created.RUMI

Rumi’s poetry is beautiful and profound. Apparently he wrote a full work every day for the last 12 years of his life. Inspired. Here’s another Rumi favourite:
