Initiative#23: Of Tarzan Swings and Middle Fingers

We were initially going to go tubing but the I180 spirit in me INSISTED on trying out that tantalizingly tempting tarzan swing by Boulder Creek (Arapahoe and Canyon for those of you who want to check it out too.)

Actually I nearly chickened out. If it was not for Shawn and Tara who gamely came with me, I would have bolted the minute I touched one end of the fraying rope. And of course ,guess who had to go do it first???

Here’s the gorgeous video of me on the tarzan swing; I’m inappropriately dressed for the cold waters and hestitant with fear.

Shawn, on the other hand, is a Tarzan in making. Dayum…

Laugh at me all you want.

Stomach you can flutter all you want.

Nose you can stop inhaling at any time.

I’m gonna jump this thing.

“S**t the rope does not look secure at all. Why the hell am I doing this??”

“Let go, Steph, Let GO!!!”

*Splash*

“ Holy f**k this is COLD! Wait, why is my back feeling so funky??? Did I hit something?”

…………

“TARA!!!!!!”

It had to be her middle finger. And knowing Tara, she will pose with it, being the dancer that she is.

5 hours later and 2 hospital visits with 1 scheduled surgery for my darling supportive roommate who broke her middle phalanx trying to tarzan swing because I stupidly dared her to join my stupidity and Shawn’s first driving lesson in America and 1 burst tube and many tears, phonecalls, and growling stomachs…we’re home.

When the going gets tough..the tough go get ice cream.

Send some much needed love to my roommate please !!! Have you tarzan-swung before???
